John RamosApr 20, 2019, 22:11I used to be a Honda/Yamaha mechanic in the late 1980's. Bought one used back in 2012. We own 9 acres and we would use it to get to the back of our property for maintenance checks. The kids would ride it on our property,on the country roads and into town.
The bad: It shifted stiff. Hardware and accessories were not of the highest quality.
The good: The bike ran like a champ. We never had any issues with the bike. It always started and always ran great. It has gears, but an automatic clutch, so it is an excellent first bike for someone to learn on.
My kids grew up and got bigger bikes and we sold the bike to a neighbor. He is still riding it.
Recommendations: Use good synthetic oil in the engine. Clean the air filter after every 3 tanks of fuel. When you are going to store the bike, drain the tank and carb of fuel. Take the battery in for the winter.
If you ride this bike like it was meant, trail bike and an errand runner, and maintain it, it will last you for years.
You can't get a better bang for your buck if you are looking for a street legal trail bike like the old Honda's.
I highly recommend this bike. -
